Bio

I work primarily in the area of nearby galaxies, focusing on the use of the 21 cm line of hydrogen atom (HI) to infer for the amount of the luminous and the dark matter content of galaxies. Detecting HI in galaxies are crucial to understand the process of gas acquisition and transformation in galaxies, which is currently a hot topic in radio astronomy and is one of the key sciences of the MeerKAT radio telescope.

Fields of interest
  • Gas Accretion Onto Galaxies
  • The Matter Content of Galaxies
  • Star Formation in Nearby Galaxies
