Bio
Dr Eric Maina’s research explores how environmental processes drive galaxy evolution by examining neutral hydrogen (H I) gas using MeerKAT radio observations alongside multi-wavelength data. His work focuses on disentangling the effects of ram-pressure stripping, tidal interactions, and pre-processing on the H I morphology and star-formation properties of galaxies in clusters and groups. By integrating radio, optical, and X-ray datasets, he examines how different environments affect the cold gas content of galaxies.
