Radio interferometric calibration and imaging has been one of the mainstays of RATT research from the beginning. Research highlights (and products) include:

• Oleg Smirnov’s paper series on the Radio Interferometer Measurement Equation: RIME1, RIME2, RIME3

• The CARACal calibration and imaging pipeline, developed jointly with our colleagues from SARAO, INAF, UP, Wits, ASTRON and University of Bochum.

• Jon Kenyon’s CubiCal calibration package, as well as it’s soon-to-be-released successor, QuartiCal.

• The Tricolour flagger developed by Ben Hugo.

• The DDFacet and killMS direction-dependent imaging and calibration suite, started by Cyril Tasse during his time at RATT, and to which development we continue to contribute.

• Landman Bester’s PFB-CLEAN imager.

• Iniyan Natarajan’s Zagros package for Bayesian modelling.
